Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Elyon Labs covering your use of Emlo. By subscribing to or using Emlo, you agree to them.

Your account

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate details. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to it.

The person who completes checkout becomes the owner of the organization and controls its billing and membership. Owners and admins can invite and remove members. If you were invited to an organization you do not pay for, that organization controls your access to it and the data in it.

Subscriptions and payment

Emlo is sold per seat on a monthly subscription, processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You are charged for the seats you hold, and changing your seat count changes what you pay from the next billing period, with any proration handled by Stripe.

You can cancel at any time from your billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not generally give refunds for partial periods, but if something has gone wrong, email us and we will deal with it fairly.

If a payment fails we may suspend access to the organization until it is resolved. We can change our prices, and we will give account owners reasonable notice by email before a change affects them.

Your data is yours

You keep all rights to the records you put into Emlo. You grant us only the permission we need to host, process, back up and display that data in order to run the service for you.

You are responsible for the data you enter, including having the right to record information about your clients and referral partners and to handle it the way your own professional and legal obligations require.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law, or use Emlo to help someone else break it;
  • upload material you do not have the right to use, or anything malicious;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to Emlo, other organizations’ data, or the systems Emlo runs on;
  • resell, sublicense or share your seats with people outside your organization;
  • scrape or automate against the service in a way that degrades it for others.

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why unless doing so would be unsafe or unlawful.

What Emlo is not

Emlo is a tracking and reporting tool. It is not a loan origination system, not a system of record for regulatory compliance, and nothing in it is legal, tax, financial or compliance advice. You remain responsible for your own obligations as a licensed professional, including record-keeping and any advice you give your clients.

Availability

We work to keep Emlo available and correct, but we provide it “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we may change or discontinue features.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elyon Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to Emlo is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Emlo and cancel at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms or fail to pay. When the agreement ends, your right to use Emlo ends, and your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will tell account owners by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Emlo after that means you accept the new terms.
